Kathleen Wynne’s re-election spending spree reached new heights this past week. The Liberals think your vote is for sale, and this budget proves it.

Wynne is making big promises with your tax dollars. This last desperate spending spree calls for billions more in new debt and yet another deficit – this time to the tune of $ 6.7 billion.

This was supposed to be a balanced budget.

That was the Liberal promise.

Yet Kathleen Wynne has decided on six more years of deficit spending with no plan to get out of the red.

So much for Liberal promises.

We’ve all seen it before. The Liberals will do, say, or promise anything to cling to power.

With this budget, Kathleen Wynne is trying to buy her re-election. But we all know the state of finances in this province and writing cheques that will bounce isn’t going to work.

If Kathleen Wynne has her way, you will be stuck with the bill for her election promises.

The tax hikes to pay for these magical promises have already started. The Liberal budget includes massive tax increases that will total over $2 billion in the next three years. These new taxes will hit 1.8 million hard-working people and tens of thousands of businesses.

A massive tax increase rammed through during an election year. Now, just imagine what Kathleen Wynne will do if she is re-elected.

But there is some good news in this budget for taxpayers. The good news is that this will be Kathleen Wynne’s last budget.

The party with the taxpayers’ money is over, Kathleen.

The Liberals have had 15 years to take health care, education and child care seriously, and it’s only now in an election year that they’re throwing money at problems they helped to create.

It’s time we said enough is enough.

We’ve already lost hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs – that’s hundreds of thousands of families now struggling to get by.

And instead of making Ontario more competitive, we’ve got more regulations, more expenses and sky-high hydro rates that are forcing businesses to relocate and families to choose between heating and eating.

That’s not the Ontario I grew up in.

The choice voters will have on June 7 is clear. Four more years of Kathleen Wynne wasting your money, raising your taxes, hiking hydro rates, driving jobs out of Ontario and mortgaging your children’s future, or a government that respects your tax dollars, stands up for hard-working people and makes Ontario a place that is open for business.

I’m here for the people, to make sure no one gets left behind, to make sure everyone who wants to work has access to a stable job. I’m here to make sure when you pay your taxes your tax dollars are respected, to make sure you won’t be stuck waiting to see a doctor, and to ensure when you send your kids to school they will learn basic math.

That’s what everyone in Ontario wants, and that’s what we are going to deliver on June 7 – a date that can’t come soon enough.
